Rear Lid






1 - Gas Strut

• Removal => [ Using screwdriver, lift retaining spring as shown and remove gas-filled strut from upper ball head pin. ] Service and Repair.

3 - Adjusting Buffer

4 - Pop Rivet Nut

• Riveted into body.

• When installing, pop rivet nut must sit flat.

5 - Rear Lid

• Remove the rear lid trim panel.

• Disconnect or pull off electrical harness connectors and hose for rear window washer system.

• Remove gas-filled strut.

• Second person is required to support and lift hood.

• Remove bolts on lid hinge => [ Pull cover -1- from lid hinge. ] Service and Repair.

• Remove rear lid.

7 - Buffer

8 - TORX(R) Bolt

• 8 Nm

9 - Lid Seal

• Replace

10 - Hex Nut

• 20 Nm

11 - Striker Pin

• Note different versions.

• Rigid version

12 - Striker Pin

• Decoupled version
