Brake Lamp Switch on Brake Pedal

• The brake lamp switch is installed on the brake master cylinder, depending on the model. Refer to => [ Brake Lamp Switch on Master Brake Cylinder ] Brake Lamp Switch on Master Brake Cylinder

• To ensure secure installation, switch may only be installed once.

Removing

- Remove the driver side storage tray.

- Separate the electrical connection.

- Remove the brake lamp switch by rotating it 45° toward the left.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:

- Pull out the plunger of the brake lamp switch completely - arrow -.






• It may not be necessary to pull out the plunger depending on the version of the brake lamp switch.

- Insert the retaining tabs of the switch - 1 - and - 2 - into the intended notches in the installation opening and secure the switch by rotating it 45° toward the right.

- Connect brake lamp switch connector.

• The brake pedal must not be actuated during installation.

• When installing the brake lamp switch, the plunger adjusts itself automatically.

- Check the function of the brake lights by actuating and unactuating the brake pedal.
