Multimedia Control Head (E380)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

Removing

Vehicles with Automatic Transmission

- Switch on ignition.

- Place the selector lever in the "S" position.

- Turn off the ignition.

All Vehicles

- Remove the key.

The multimedia control head is fastened - 1 - with springs in the center console - arrows -.






- Remove the A/C controls and fold the grommet - 2 - on the selector lever upward. Refer to - 1 -.






- Unlock the spring using the (3409) and lift the multimedia control head - 3 - upward and out of the center console - arrows -.

• Be careful of the short wires to the multimedia control head, the electromechanical parking brake button (E538) and the access/start authorization button (E408).

- Disconnect the connectors on the back side.

Remove the electromechanical parking brake button and the access/start authorization button.

Installing

- Perform the installation in reverse order.
