Lock Trim, With Lock Cylinder







Lock Trim, with Lock Cylinder

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing






- Release the backrest.

- Make sure the button - 2 - is in the top position.

- Press the retaining tabs on both sides of the trim - 1 - in the direction of the - arrow - using the trim removal wedge (3409).

- Pull the front of the trim - 1 - as far up from the backrest - 3 - as possible.

- Using a flat-head screwdriver, pry the rear of the trim - 1 - out of the retainer.






- This breaks the clip off at the set breaking point - arrow -.

The clip on the center rear of the trim must be destroyed after removing the trim with the lock cylinder.

Installing






- Guide the front clips - arrow - under the cover.

- Make sure the cover is covered by the rear part of the trim - 1 -.

- Press the front of trim - 1 - down until the clips - arrows - engage audibly in the retainer.

- Press the section of trim - 1 - marked with an - arrow - down at an angle until the center rear clip engages audibly in the retainer.






The trim - 1 - is seated securely once it engages audibly with the retainer.

- Make sure the button - 2 - moves easily after installing the trim.

- When installing the trim - 1 -, make sure the lock cylinder installation position is correct. Refer to => [ Lock Cylinder Installation Position ] Lock Cylinder.

Left trim: the pin on the lock cylinder must face forward (direction of travel).

Right trim: the pin on the lock cylinder must face the rear (direction of travel).
