High-Intensity Gas Discharge Lamp Control Modules (J343)/(J344)

Danger to life due to high voltage.

• Always disconnect the battery wire strap before working on High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamp components marked with yellow high voltage symbols.

Removing






- Remove the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Remove the screws - arrows -.

- Remove the control module - 1 - from the headlamp.

- Disconnect the adapter cable - 3 - and the electrical connector - 4 - from the headlamp control module.

- Remove the headlamp control module.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ HID Headlamp with Cornering Lamp Overview, through 2012 ] HID Headlamp With Cornering Lamp Overview, Through 2012.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Check the seal - 2 - between the headlamp control module and headlamp for damage.

- Install the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.
