Passenger Occupant Detection System, Procedure after an Accident

• Each time an airbag or passenger belt tensioner deploys, a basic setting must be performed on the seat occupied recognition control module using a vehicle diagnostic tester.

• If the seat rail and/or the seat pan was deformed in an accident and must be replaced, replace the passenger occupant detection system with the "passenger occupant detection system service kit". Then a basic setting must be performed for the passenger occupant detection system control module using a vehicle diagnostic tester.
