Fender Assembly Overview
• Bolts are micro-encapsulated and must be replaced after loosening or after removing the fender.
• Before installing new screws, clean threads with an appropriate thread cutter.
1 - Combination screw
• 15 Nm
2 - Fenders
• Before removing, remove screws on washer fluid reservoir.
• Remove bumper. Refer to => [ Front Bumper ] Service and Repair.
• Remove wheel housing liner. Refer to => [ Front Wheel Housing Liner ] Wheel Housing Liner.
• Remove end plate. Refer to Fig. => [ Removing ] Body, Front
• Remove headlight. Refer to => Electrical Equipment 94 Removal and Installation
• Disconnect side blinker electrical connections.
• Remove screws- 1 - on fender flange.
• Remove screws- 3 - and - 4 -and remove fender.
3 - Combination screw
• 15 Nm
4 - Combination screw
• 15 Nm
5 - Fender brace
6 - Screw
• 15 Nm
• Left side only.
Noise Insulation Assembly Overview
1 Front noise insulation
• Remove two end pins on each wheel housing liner
• To remove, remove front and rear quick release screws.
• Pull the noise insulation slightly toward the rear and then under the bumper cover.
• Remove the noise insulation forward with the wheel spoilers.
2 Wheel spoiler
• To remove, disengage expanding clip by pressing clamping pins.
3 Clamping pin
• 5 pieces per wheel spoiler
4 Rear noise insulation
• Removal, refer to => [ Rear Noise Insulation Assembly Overview ]
5 Subframe
6 Quick release screw
• For lock carrier service position, remove quick release screws only on lock carrier.
• Quantity: 3
7 Lock carrier with attachments
8 Wheel housing liner
9 End pins
• When removing, remove front noise insulation.
• 2 times left and right on each wheel housing liner.
10 Retaining clip
Rear Noise Insulation Assembly Overview
1 Front noise insulation
2 Rear noise insulation
• To remove, open the rear quick-release fasteners on the front noise insulation.
• Open the rear quick-release fasteners on the rear noise insulation and pull it out
3 Spring nut
• Inserted sideways in subframe.
