Roof Reinforcement, Avant without Sunroof, Installing on Body

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• 1K adhesive (D 190 MKD A3)

Removing





- Remove headliner => [ Headliner ].

- Carefully pull roof reinforcements - 1 - away from body roof beginning at rear.

• If the roof reinforcement is damaged during removal, such as with tears or kinks, it must be replaced.

Installing old roof reinforcement

- Apply new adhesive between adhesive beads - 3 -.

- Apply new adhesive near peripheral adhesive bead - 2 -.

Installing new roof reinforcement

- Place adhesive bead - 2 - on roof reinforcement - 1 - at a distance of - b - to outer edge, as shown illustration.

• Dimension - b - = 25 mm all around

- Apply adhesive beads - 3 - to roof reinforcement as shown in illustration.

All:

- Place roof reinforcement centered between sides and at distance - a - from roof braces - 4 - and - 5 -.

• Dimension - a - = 10 mm

- Push roof reinforcement from inside onto body roof.

- Install headliner => [ Headliner ].
