Removing





- Remove luggage compartment floor - 1 - and spare wheel cover - 2 -.

CAUTION!
Observe the safety precautions for repairs on airbags.

- Remove the rear bench seat => [ Bench Seat ] Rear Seats.

- Remove side airbag => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] Rear Seats

- Remove luggage compartment side trim => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ].

- If equipped, release clips - A arrows - and swivel Towing Recognition Control Module (J345) - Item 1 - out a little.





- Release clip - arrow B - and swivel Towing Recognition Control Module (J345) out of mounting bracket.

- Lay aside Towing Recognition Control Module (J345) with electrical lines - 2 to 4 - connected.

- If equipped, release clip - arrow - and swivel Parking Aid Control Module (J446) - Item 4 - out of mounting bracket.





- Lay aside Towing Recognition Control Module (J446) with electrical lines - 1 to 3 - connected.

Vehicles with air suspension:





- Remove spreader pins - arrows - and remove cover - 1 -.

- Remove pressure tank.

All:

- Remove screws and remove tie-down retaining track mounts.

- Remove cargo tray.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Install pressure tank.

- Install luggage compartment side trim => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ].

- Install side airbag => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] Rear Seats.

- Install the rear bench seat => [ Bench Seat ] Rear Seats.
