D-Pillar Trim

Removing

CAUTION!
Note safety precautions for working on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbag System General Safety Precautions ] Airbag System General Safety Precautions and side airbags => [ Side Airbag Additional Safety Precautions ] Side Airbag Additional Safety Precautions and side curtain airbags => [ Side Curtain Additional Airbag Safety Precautions ] Side Curtain Additional Airbag Safety Precautions.

- Remove tie-down retaining tracks. Refer to => [ Tie-Down Retaining Rail ] Tie-Down Retaining Rail.

- Remove rear cross panel trim. Refer to => [ Rear Cross Panel Trim ] Rear Cross Panel Trim.

- Remove luggage compartment side trim. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Side Trim.

- Remove roof panel trim. Refer to => [ Roof Panel Trim ] Roof Panel Trim.

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.





- Pull D-pillar trim - 2 - up from body - arrow -.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

Upper D-pillar trim threaded holes must be cleaned of locking compound residue after removal. Otherwise, new screws could lock up when installed and shear off when removed again.

They can be cleaned with a thread cutter.

Replace self-locking screws.

Replace damaged spring clamps.

- Install roof panel trim. Refer to => [ Roof Panel Trim ] Roof Panel Trim.

- Install luggage compartment side trim. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Side Trim.

- Install rear cross panel trim. Refer to => [ Rear Cross Panel Trim ] Rear Cross Panel Trim.

- Install tie-down retaining tracks. Refer to => [ Tie-Down Retaining Rail ] Tie-Down Retaining Rail.

Tightening Specifications





* Replace screws.
