Lock Cylinder

Removing

- Remove the trim for the retainer with lock cylinder => [ Lock Trim, with Lock Cylinder ] Lock Trim, With Lock Cylinder.

- Make sure the indicator is in the top position.

Only remove and install the lock cylinder with the key inserted correctly. If that is not done, the tumblers and compression springs can fall out and the lock cylinder will be ruined.

- Release the retaining tabs - bottom arrows - (quantity: 4) and press the lock cylinder - 3 - with the key - 2 - out of the trim - 1 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Only remove and install the lock cylinder with the key inserted correctly. If that is not done, the tumblers and compression springs can fall out and the lock cylinder will be ruined.

Check the installation position when installing the lock cylinder. It is not possible to lock the backrest correctly if the installation position is not correct.

- Slide the lock - 2 - into the new lock cylinder correctly.

- Remove the protective cap - 4 - from the new lock cylinder - 3 -.

- Insert the lock cylinder - 3 - into the trim - 1 - in the correct installation position.

- Install the trim with lock cylinder in the backrest => [ Lock Trim, with Lock Cylinder ] Lock Trim, With Lock Cylinder.

- Turn the key 90° counterclockwise.

- Lock the backrest.

The illustration shows the left trim with a lock cylinder.

Left trim: the pins - top arrow - in lock cylinder - 3 - must face forward (direction of travel).

Right trim: the pin on the lock cylinder must face the rear (direction of travel).
