Center Hood Lock

Removing






- Remove the hood contact switch (F266) only from the front hood lock. Refer to => [ Hood Switch F266 ] Hood Switch F266.

- Pry up retaining clips - 3 - on control cable guide - 2 -.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Remove front hood lock - 1 - from the lock carrier.

- Push the release lever on control cable - 1 - in the - direction of arrow A -.






- Move the bracket with the control cable in the - direction of arrow B - and detach from front hood lock - 2 -.

Installation






• For the correct tightening specifications; refer to => [ Hood Locks Assembly Overview ] Hood Locks Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Engage bracket - 5 - with the control cable on front hood lock - 2 - - arrow - and move it up until locking mechanism - 1 - engages in the lid lock. This engages control cable fitting - 4 - on lid lock release operating lever - 3 -.

- Install the hood contact switch (F266) on the front hood lock => [ Hood Switch F266 ] Hood Switch F266.

- Adjust the hood. Refer to => [ Hood, Adjusting ] Hood, Adjusting
