Convertible Wind Deflector Switch (E278)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing






- Carefully pry selector lever boot out with a small screwdriver at the side - arrow 1 -.

- Pull selector lever boot up on both sides - arrows 2 and 3 -.

• Shown on a vehicle with DSG transmission in the illustration.

- Using (3409) , pry cover out of front center console - arrows -.






- Unplug connectors.

- Carefully release retaining hooks - arrows - using a small screwdriver.






- Remove Convertible Wind Deflector Switch - item 1 - from switch mount.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Press Convertible Wind Deflector Switch into switch mount until retaining hooks engage.
