Backrest Cover (Section Two)

• Removal and installation can be done with seat installed.

• The following describes removing and installing the standard front seat. It is identical for the other seat versions.

• The illustration shows a backrest cover without a storage net.

• The storage net cannot be removed from the backrest cover and can only be replaced together with the backrest cover.

Removing






Wear protective gloves to avoid injury from burrs that may be on the backrest cover.

- Disengage the side lower hooks - 3 - (quantity 2) for the backrest cover - 2 - from the backrest frame trim - 1 -.

- Press the backrest cover - 1 - toward the center of the seat in the direction of - arrow A -.






- Remove the backrest cover back in the direction of - arrow B -.

- Do the same on the opposite side.

- Disengage the side backrest cover - 2 - - arrows A, B, E and F -.






- Reach behind the backrest cover - 1 - and remove the right side from the backrest - 2 -.






- Do the same to the opposite side of the backrest cover - 1 -.

- Loosen the side retaining hooks - 3 - or - 5 -. Refer to => [ Overview of backrest cover mounting points ] Two-Section Backrest Cover With Backrest Frame Trim Overview.

- Remove the backrest cover - 1 - further and bend it until the upper hooks - 2 - disengage from the backrest frame.






• The illustration does not show the upper hooks.

- Tip the backrest cover - 1 - back slightly.

- Press the backrest cover - 1 - down in the direction of - arrow A -.






- Lift the backrest cover in the direction of - arrow B - and remove it from the backrest frame.

Installing






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- First slide the upper hooks - 2 - under the top backrest frame cross panel.

- Tilt the backrest cover down and engage the side retaining tabs - 3 - and - 5 - and the lower hooks - 4 -.

- Make sure the side retaining tabs - 3 - and - 5 - engage with the backrest frame trim correctly and the lower hooks - 4 - slide over the backrest frame trim seats.

- Press the backrest cover firmly into the areas marked with circles in the direction of the backrest.






- Check if the backrest cover is correctly locked.

• It must not be possible to move the backrest cover at the bottom.
