Digital Sound System Control Module (J525), MMI through 10.31.2008

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The digital sound system control module is located behind the luggage compartment left side trim on the top of the Infotainment rack.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault Finding".

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Open the left storage compartment in the luggage compartment

Do not remove the rack.

- Remove the screws - 2 - - arrows - on the rack and tilt the digital sound system control module - 1 - into the luggage compartment.






- Unlock and disconnect the MOST bus connector - 2 - from the digital sound system control module - 4 -.






- Connect the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - to the connector for the MOST-Bus - 2 -.






- Disconnect the connectors - 1 - and - 3 -.






- Remove the digital sound system control module - 4 -.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
