Rear Shelf Without Sun Shade







Rear Shelf without Sun Shade

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim removal wedge (3409)





1 Rear shelf without sun shade

Removing

- Remove roof panel trim. Refer to => [ Roof Panel Trim ] Roof Panel Trim.

- Remove D-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to => [ D-Pillar Trim ] D-Pillar Trim.

Vehicles with foldable rear seat backrests

- Fold rear seat backrest forward.

Vehicles with fixed rear seat backrests

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Fixed Rear Seat Backrest ] Fixed Rear Seat Backrest.

- Remove right seat belt buckle with retainer.

Procedure for all vehicles

- Push rear shelf - 1 - forward and unclip clamps - 8 - (quantity: 4) from rear shelf crossmember - 5 -.

- Continue to push rear shelf forward - 1 - and disengage retainers - 4 - (quantity: 3) from keyhole-shaped cut-out in rear shelf crossmember - 5 -.

- Pull rear shelf - 1 - with retainers with pins - 6 - (quantity: 4) out of carrier below rear window - 7 -.

Vehicles with fixed rear seat backrests

- Unclip rear center belt guide from rear shelf - 1 - => [ Center Rear Belt Guide ].

- Guide belt webbing with rear center belt guide through cut-out - 3 - in rear shelf - 1 -.

Procedure for all vehicles

- Remove rear shelf - 1 -.

Installing

- Check clamps - 8 - (quantity: 4) for damage and deformity.

Replace damaged or deformed clamps.

- Before installing rear shelf - 1 -, make sure clamps - 8 - (quantity: 4) are positioned correctly.

Vehicles with fixed rear seat backrests

- Guide belt webbing with rear center belt guide through cut-out - 3 - in rear shelf - 1 -.

- Clip rear center belt guide into rear shelf - 1 - => [ Center Rear Belt Guide ].

Ensure belt webbing is not twisted.

Procedure for all vehicles

- Engage retainers - 4 - (quantity: 3) in keyhole-shaped cutouts in rear shelf crossmember - 5 -.

- Push rear shelf - 1 - back to stop.

- Ensure retainer pins - 6 - (quantity: 4) are inserted in carrier cut-outs below rear window - 7 -.

- Clip rear shelf - 1 - onto crossmember - 5 - with clamps - 8 - (quantity: 4).

Vehicles with fixed rear seat backrests

- Install right seat belt buckle with retainer.

Ensure belt webbing is not twisted.

- Install rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Fixed Rear Seat Backrest ] Fixed Rear Seat Backrest.

- Install the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

Vehicles with foldable rear seat backrests

- Fold rear seat backrest back.

Procedure for all vehicles

- Install D-pillar trim on left and right. Refer to => [ D-Pillar Trim ] D-Pillar Trim.

- Install roof panel trim. Refer to => [ Roof Panel Trim ] Roof Panel Trim.

2 Child seat anchor

Quantity: 3

USA and Canada only

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Child Seat Anchor ] Child Seat Anchor

Child seat anchor cut-outs in rear shelf.

3 Belt Guide Cut-Out

only on vehicles with fixed rear seat backrests

4 Retainers

Quantity: 3

5 Rear Shelf Crossmember

6 Retainer with Pins, (quantity: 4)

Replace if damaged or deformed

Center Rear Belt Guide





Removing

- Unclip front catches on rear center belt guide - 1 -.

- To do this, slide (3409) between rear shelf - 3 - and belt guide - 1 -.

- Swing rear center belt guide - 1 - up about 45°.

- Remove rear center belt guide - 1 - from rear shelf - 3 -.

Installing

- Engage rear center belt guide - 1 - in rear shelf - 3 - starting at rear.

- Clip front catches on rear center belt guide - 1 - onto rear shelf - 3 -.
