Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair






EVAP Canister

Checking for leaks, refer to => [ Leak Detection Test, Performing ] Leak Detection Test, Performing.

Removing





- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove cover for EVAP canister.

- Secure the EVAP canister by hand-tightening the unfastened bolts.

- Remove sealing pieces above vent lines.





- Separate the hose connection - 1 - at the vent line.

- Pull off the vent lines - 2 - and - 3 -. Do this by pressing the releasing rings - 4 - approximately 2 mm in direction - arrows A - and simultaneously pulling the vent line off - arrows B -.

- Unfasten and remove the EVAP canister.

Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Fuel Supply System - Fastener Tightening Specifications.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.
