Removing

Affects Vehicles with Air Suspension

- Place the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

Affects All Vehicles

- Remove noise insulation.

- Remove nuts - 1 - and bolts - 3 - (if installed) for crossmember - 2 - and remove crossmember - 2 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install new nuts - 1 - but do not tighten.






- Tighten the bolts - 3 - (if equipped).

- Tighten nuts - 1 -.

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Subframe, Engine Mount Bracket, Stabilizer Bar, Crossmember and Coupling Rod Assembly Overview ] Subframe, Engine Mount Bracket, Stabilizer Bar, Crossmember and Coupling Rod Assembly Overview.

- On vehicles with air suspension, position vehicle on wheels. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.
