Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor (G341) and Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor (G342)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

- Place vehicle on hoist. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

- Remove the wheel.

- Remove wheel housing liner..

- Disconnect connector - 1 -.






- Remove bolt - 2 - and body acceleration sensor - 3 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install body acceleration sensor bolt - 2 - and tighten to 8 Nm.






- Install wheel housing liner..

- Install the wheel.

- Place vehicle on wheels. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

- Tighten the wheel.

- Check the body acceleration signal. Refer to => [ Body Acceleration Sensor, Checking Acceleration Signal ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
