Rear Cross Panel Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)

Removing





- Remove the rear luggage compartment floor covering. Refer to => [ Rear Luggage Compartment Floor Covering ] Rear Luggage Compartment Floor Covering.

- Remove the lip of the rear lid seal in the area of the rear cross panel trim.

- Unclip the rear cross panel - 2 - upward vertically using a trim removal wedge (3409) - arrows -.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

• If the trim clamps remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

• Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

- Guide the left and right rear cross panel trim retaining tabs in the opening on the luggage compartment side trim - 1 -.

- Insert the rear cross panel trim so the left and right tabs engage in the pins - 3 -.

- Press the rear cross panel trim on until it engages audibly and stretch the lip of the rear lid seal over the rear cross panel trim.
