Rear Seat Backrest Heating Element

Removing

- Remove the cover and cushion on the rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Backrest Cover and Cushion ] Rear Seat Backrest Cover and Cushion.

- Cover, rear seat backrest, separating from upholstery. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Backrest Cover, Removing from Cushion ] Rear Seat Backrest Cover, Removing From Cushion.

- Cut the electrical wire - 3 - off directly at the old rear seat backrest heating element - 2 -.






The old rear seat backrest heating element remains on the upholstery - 1 - and the new rear seat backrest heating element is bonded over it.

Ignore - arrow -.

Installing

- Adjust the new rear seat backrest heating element - 2 - on cushion.

Make sure the new rear seat backrest heating element is affixed to the old heating element.

Remove the protective films in the bonding sequence for the heating element area.

When removing the protective film, make sure the heating element is not damaged and that it is attached without wrinkles.

- Route the connecting wires to the individual heating surfaces in the base of the gaps - arrow - without crossing.

- Pull the wire - 3 - through the slit in the upholstery - 1 -.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
