Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

Light Switch (E1) with (E20)/(E102)/(E579)

Removing






- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Turn light switch into "0" position.

- Pry side instrument panel cover out with a screwdriver - arrow -.

- Press light switch - arrow A - and turn toward the right simultaneously - arrow 2 -.






- Hold switch in this position.

- Remove the headlamp switch - 2 - from the back through the small hole - arrow C - with a narrow screwdriver - 1 - and pull it out of the instrument panel cover on the driver side.

- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Press button unit into switch housing until lock mechanism engages.
