Charge Air Cooler

Removing

- Remove the radiator. Refer to => [ Radiator ] Radiator.

There is a risk of damaging the condenser and refrigerant lines and hoses.

Do not stretch, kink or bend refrigerant lines and hoses.

- Remove front bumper cover.

- Remove the noise insulation frame - arrow - with the rear noise insulation.






- Remove the air guide hose from the charge air cooler by loosening the hose clamp - arrow -.






- Remove the air guide hose by loosening hose clamps - 1 - and - 2 -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - by releasing the air ducts at the left and right and tilting them toward the headlamp.






- Tilt the upper edge of the charge air cooler back slightly.

- Disengage the charge air cooler from the lower mounting points by lifting it.

- Slide the charge air cooler toward the engine and support it from below so it does not sink.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the charge air cooler upward.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

Installing

Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

Hose connections and charge air system hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model. Refer to the electronic parts catalog ETKA.

To mount the charge hoses on their connectors securely, spray the bolts on the used clamps with rust remover before installing.

- Install the radiator. Refer to => [ Radiator ] Radiator.

- Install the noise insulation frame.

- Install front bumper. Refer to Removal and Installation.

- Check the coolant level => [ Check the coolant level. ] Service and Repair.
