Oil Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Locking ring pliers (commercially available)

• M3 bolt

Removing

- Remove the oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the intake line from the oil pump.





- Remove the locking ring - 1 - with the locking ring pliers.





- Install the M3 bolt - 2 - and remove the input shaft from the oil pump - arrow -.

- Remove the bolts - 3, 4 and 5 - and remove the oil pump.


Do not loosen the bolt on the intermediate sprocket.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Oil Pump, Oil Pan and Balance Shaft Module Assembly Overview ] Oil Pump, Oil Pan and Balance Shaft Module Assembly Overview.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace O-ring.

• Replace any damaged and bent circlips.

• The circlip must lie in the base of the groove.

- Replace any missing alignment bushings for centering the oil pump on the balance shaft assembly.

- Install oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Fill engine oil and check oil level.
