Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)

Removing

- Remove engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the heat shield boot from the exhaust pressure sensor 1 - 3 -.






- Disconnect the connector from the exhaust pressure sensor 1 - 3 -.

- Remove the bolt and remove the exhaust pressure sensor 1 mount.

- Loosen the clamps on both hoses.

- Before removing, spray the exhaust pressure sensor 1 hoses with a thinner.

- Carefully pull the hoses off the connections (the exhaust pressure sensor 1 connections break very easily).

Installing

- Note the following when installing:

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (G39) and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors Overview ] Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (G39) and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors Overview

Before installing the control lines leading from the exhaust pressure sensor 1 to the particulate filter, clean them with compressed air to make sure they are not plugged or iced over by condensation water.

Check for secure fit and leaks.

If the particulate filter pressure lines were removed, tighten them to 45 Nm.

It is necessary to perform an adaptation after replacing exhaust pressure sensor 1 and / or the particulate filter and the adaptation values must be reset. The adapting is described in Guided Fault Finding or Guided Functions. Use the vehicle diagnosis tester for this.
