Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
Exhaust Pressure Sensor 1 (G450)
Removing
- Remove engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Service and Repair.
- Remove the heat shield boot from the exhaust pressure sensor 1 - 3 -.
- Disconnect the connector from the exhaust pressure sensor 1 - 3 -.
- Remove the bolt and remove the exhaust pressure sensor 1 mount.
- Loosen the clamps on both hoses.
- Before removing, spray the exhaust pressure sensor 1 hoses with a thinner.
- Carefully pull the hoses off the connections (the exhaust pressure sensor 1 connections break very easily).
Installing
- Note the following when installing:
• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (G39) and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors Overview ] Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (G39) and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors Overview
• Before installing the control lines leading from the exhaust pressure sensor 1 to the particulate filter, clean them with compressed air to make sure they are not plugged or iced over by condensation water.
• Check for secure fit and leaks.
• If the particulate filter pressure lines were removed, tighten them to 45 Nm.
It is necessary to perform an adaptation after replacing exhaust pressure sensor 1 and / or the particulate filter and the adaptation values must be reset. The adapting is described in Guided Fault Finding or Guided Functions. Use the vehicle diagnosis tester for this.
