Vehicle Exterior Lamps Condition

The position of the headlamp switch (E1) as well as the signal from the rear fog lamp button (E314) and from the fog lamp button (E315) are sent to the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) via the LIN bus These control the front lighting for the vehicle. The lamps on the back of the vehicle are controlled by the comfort system central control module (J393), which receives the lamp information from the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) via the CAN-bus.

If the vehicle has a rain/light recognition sensor (G397), then the exterior lamps are controlled by headlamp switch when it is set to AUTO based on the brightness/darkness information, which the sensor sends to the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) via the LIN-bus.
