Condition

Customer may report transmission warning light comes on. No drivability/starting concerns. GFF scan shows fault code: P060300 (Control Module Malfunctioning, Sporadic), stored in the Transmission control module (02).

Technical Background

The entry is caused by an overly sensitive diagnosis in the gearbox control unit. This does not affect the driving characteristics.

Production Solution

New software in the Transmission Control Module (J217) addressed the condition.

SVM Update Instructions

1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.





2. Update the TCM (J217) using the SVM action code as listed in the table if necessary.
