Turn Signal Switch: Service and Repair

Fig. 8 Turn signal switch cancelling cam adjustment:

1. In all cases, remove necessary trim panels and steering wheel.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect multi-pin plug from signal harness.
4. Disconnect all harness clips in area.
5. On all models, disconnect plug and remove switch.
6. Make sure wheels are pointing straight ahead before reassembling switch.
7. When installing switch, make sure that there is a gap of .012 inch between switch cam and reset dog, Fig. 8. On 320i models, be sure to secure ground wire on left side assembly screw.
