SUBJECT: Engine Campaign Procedures and Adjustment of Idle Control Valves on 2.7 liter Engines

MODELS: 325e (1984-1986 Model Year) 528e (1982-1986 Model Year)

Condition: 1) Idle speed fluctuations.
2) Rough idle.
3) Idle dips below specification on deceleration.


Cause: Idle control valve is of non-adjustable type and/or, if adjustable, incorrectly calibrated.

Correction: - Perform Engine Campaign Procedure. Perform Recall 86E-A01 and modify Idle Control System as described below.
