System Performance Test




SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST

AMBIENT TEMPERATURE/RELATIVE HUMIDITY REFERENCE CHART:





- Verify the complaint.
- Check the blower - is it delivering the necessary volume of air?
- Refer to the Testing and Inspection, and Diagrams / Electrical for detailed diagnosis and repair procedures.
- Inspect/replace the microparticle filters.
- Check the temperature of the air coming out of the A/C outlet ducts.
- Close all the windows and doors.
- Install an additional fan at the front of the vehicle.
- Engine speed = 1500 RPM.
- Blower speed = Medium.
- "Snowflake" button = A/C On.
- Temperature selector = Maximum cooling.
- Insert a thermometer in the center face vent.
- Operate the engine for approximately five minutes to stabilize the A/C system.
- Check the thermometer reading.
- Refer to the chart above and compare the test results.
- If the face vent discharge temperature is well above the indicated temperature for the given humidity and ambient air, perform the checks listed in "Verified System Malfunction Follow-Up".
