SUBJECT: Exchange Final Drive Units
MODELS: All (with electronic speedometer)
Situation: As of 9/87, all exchange final drive units no longer have a speedometer transmitter installed.
When installing an exchange final drive, remove the speedometer transmitter from the unit being replaced, and transfer it to the replacement final drive. Be sure to use a new sealing ring to ensure a leak-free installation (refer to valid parts microfiche).
The sealing plug supplied with the exchange unit must be installed in the replaced unit being returned for core credit.
