SUBJECT: Check Control Panel - Low Beam Indicator

MODELS: All E 28

Complaint: The low beam indicator on the Check Control Panel lights up when the headlights are on and the cruise control is engaged.

Situation: Electromagnetic interference created by the cruise control actuator may interact with the low beam check control relay located on the side of the fuse box.

This can occur if the relay is mounted directly beside the actuator.

Modification: Interchange the location of the low beam check relay from position 1 to position 3 (high speed relay). To do this, slide the respective relays with sockets off the fuse box and reinsert them into their new position.
