Situation:
Due to a design change to the shim washer at the threaded connection between the drive belt sprocket and the intermediate shaft, a new special tool has been developed to aid in the removal and installation of the retaining bolt.

CAUTION:
Preventing movement with a screwdriver or similar object will damage the drive belt beyond repair.

These tools will be sent to all automotive BMW dealers under the Automotive Tool Shipment Program. Additional tools can be ordered directly from your Parts Distribution Center.
