The BMW On-Board Computer II constantly monitors fuel consumption based on speed and driving conditions. To display average fuel consumption, press the AVG MPG button.
To restart calculations, press the AVG MPH button once, then the SET-RES button. The computer will start calculating average fuel consumption from that point.
Note: The AVG MPG Button is also used to change languages in the computer. By first pressing this button, then the Changeover Contact, readouts will change from German, to American. to British. back to German, and so forth.
