The Numbered Buttons

The numbered buttons are used to enter numerical data for setting the time and date, the speed limit warning, and the anti-theft code. Each button specifically corresponds to one digit on the display.

The digital display window displays up to four numbers, and there are correspondingly four numbered buttons: 1000, 100, 10, and 1. Each button affects only the display digit of that denomination. Thus, the 1000 button affects only the number directly above it; the 100 button the number directly above it, and so forth. They do not affect each other.

Moreover, the computer will not accept unattainable inputs, such as a thirteenth month or a twenty-fifth hour.
