The SET-RES Button




This is used to start, or re-start, the average speed calculations, the average fuel consumption, to start, stop, or re-set the stop-watch, and to cancel the code input if the ignition has not been turned off.

For any of these functions, the display must be in the desired mode. One push of the SET-RES button will re-start passive calculations such as average miles per gallon, average miles per hour, and so on. One push also cancels any code' input as long as the ignition switch has not been turned to the off position.

One, or two, pushes of the button will also start, stop, or re-set the stopwatch when in that mode. (See The Timer Button).
