Shift Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Nominal Values:

SOLENOID VALVES, SPEED SENSORS AND HYDRAULIC PRESSURE REGULATOR IN THE GEARSHIFT UNIT
Measure resistance of solenoid valves, speed sensors and of the hydraulic pressure regulator by way of the universal adapter with the control unit disconnected and ignition switched "Off".


If values deviate, repeat test at gearshift unit (valve/solenoid body). If OK, replace wire, if not, remove gearshift unit and repair defective component, replace if necessary.





Use the T-adapter, BMW special tool No. 246000 to perform measurements at the 7-pin connector of the gearshift unit.
