Valve Cover Gasket

MODELS:
All with M42, M50 and M70 Engines

Situation:
With the introduction of the new generation BMW engines listed above, a new rubber profile valve cover gasket was introduced.

The new gasket, in addition to better sealing properties and engine noise reduction, also has the advantage that it does not have to be replaced every time the valve cover is removed as with the flat style gaskets used on previous engines.

Replacement is only necessary if the sealing lips or profile section of the gasket are damaged and whenever the cylinder head or valve cover is replaced.
