Transmission Mode Switch: Testing and Inspection

Check the program button with the aid of the universal adapter with the control unit disconnected and ignition switched "Off". The pin assignments are identical for all control units, only the program buttons may differ. Measure between Pin 19 and the specified pins. "0" corresponds to approx. 0 Ohms, "1" corresponds to approx. > 10 kOhms.





If measured values are illogical, check ground connection of the program button and repair if necessary. If OK, remove program button, check to switching diagram and switch layout, replace if necessary. If OK. check wire and plug connection, repair if necessary.
