CHECKING THRUST STRUT MOUNTS




Load down car to normal position. [1]
Measure distance (A) between the rubber and centering sleeve with a feeler gege blade.




Nominal value A = 1.0 to 2.0 mm (0.039 to 0.079").
Replace mount in case of deviation from nominal value. Service and Repair

Important!
Always replace both mounts.


[1] Normal position:
Car loaded down with 2 x 68 kg (2 x 150 lbs) of front seats (seats in center position), 1 x 68 kg (1 x 150 lbs) on center of rear seat (not for coupes), 1 x 21 kg (1 x 46 lbs) in middle of trunk, and a full tank of gas.
