With AST 5500

F2 New SRS Reset
With the ignition switch in the "Off" position, insert tool into diagnostic socket until display illuminates (*).

- After a few seconds, "F1" will appear on display.

Scroll through the function menu by pressing the "FUNC" button repeatedly until you have reached "F2".
Turn the ignition "On" and press "Enter" button.

- Display should show two dots ".." to indicate reset in progress.
- After a few seconds, the result will appear on the display.

NO DEFECT FOUND - two dashes will appear "--", reset successful. Run the engine 1 minute and repeat the function "F1" to assure all defects are repaired. Test (F1)

DEFECT CODE FOUND - number with fast blinking dot will appear, reset was not successful because defect(s) still exist. Refer to Trouble Code Table. With AST 5500

ERROR CODE - blinking "E" plus number will appear, refer to listing on tool or see AST Error Codes. AST Error Codes

Switch the ignition "Off" and remove the tool.
