RECYCLING EQUIPMENT PRESSURE GAUGES
The refrigerant recycling stations feature system pressure gauges to monitor refrigerant system performance.

Refrigerant or mechanical problems can be diagnosed from the readings on the gauge set.

For example: The following chart shows nominal gauge readings at 90 °F, 20% humidity with the engine running @ 1500 RPM.

Readings substantially different from this provide information that can be very helpful in diagnosis.

The recycling station hoses connect as follows:
- Red gauge and hose - high side
- Blue gauge and hose - low side
- The gauges indicate the system pressures as soon as the red and blue hoses are connected, whether the valves are open or closed.
