Emergency Operation

EMERGENCY OPERATION (CLOSING TOP) IF ELECTRIC OPERATION FAILS:

NOTE: Figures drawn with trunk trim panels removed.




- Raise trunk lid.
- Insert centering pin (toolbox) in bore (1), press to left and unlock.top storage box lid drive.




- Insert centering pin in bore (2), press up and unlock top drive.




- Insert hexagon key through bore (3) in hexagon socket, turn clockwise and unlock top storage box.
- Open top storage box lid.
- Lift top out of storage box.
- Position top tensioning bow upright.
- Close top storage box lid.
- Lower top tensioning bow.
- Pull down top at front and lock on cowl panel.

NOTE: If top cannot be lifted out of top storage box in spite of correctly disengaged top drive, adjust top drive.

Restoring Operation After Fault Elimination:

Requirement:
- Trunk trim panels removed.




- Position top tensioning bow upright.
- Close top storage box lid.
- Raise trunk lid.




- Move top tensioning bow back and forth slightly and press up top drive motor until it engages.




- Move top storage box lid up and down slightly and press top storage box lid drive motor forward until it engages.
- Install trunk trim panels.
