Acceleration/Deceleration Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Checking The Switch
- Pull off plug (1).
- Connect Jetronic test lead 611 440 on acceleration pick-up, or bridge terminals with suitable test leads.
- Connect ohmmeter (M 06) of BMW service tester or use suitable DVOM to check switch resistance.

Nominal value: less than 1 k-ohm. Replace sensor if nominal values are out of range.





Checking Switch with Wire and Connector
- Ignition "Off".
- Connect universal adapter on wire harness from Antilock Brake System (ABS) control unit.
- Measure resistance between connections (1 and 16).

Nominal value: less than 1 k-ohm. Replace sensor - replace or repair wiring if nominal values are out of range.
