Ignition Rotor: Testing and Inspection

Distributor Cap:

1. Remove the distributor cap retaining screws.

Ignition Rotor View:

2. Remove the 3 mm Allen head screws.
3. Measure the resistance across the rotor resistor.

^ Reading should be 1 K ohms (±20%). Replace as necessary.

4. Carefully check surfaces for possible hair line cracks or signs of burning. Replace as necessary.
