Pump Speed Sensor

The control module monitors brake pedal travel during ABS/ASC activation. As the pedal drops, the return pump is switched on. The control module monitors return pump activation from the [1][2]speed sensor input signal.

The return pump [1][2]speed sensor is an inductive type sensor similar to the inductive type wheel speed sensors. As the motor spins, AC voltage is induced into the sensor. The control module processes the input signal to determine return pump activation.
