Repair Manual - Troubleshooting Information

In addition to gathering information sources, and verifying the complaint, the DIS/MoDiC must be used to perform a quick test of the vehicle systems as performed in the Troubleshooting & Diagnostic Procedures section of this training course. Follow the provided Test schedule based on the input malfunction.

The repair manual often contains "troubleshooting" information for specific systems which contains linked repair procedures.

After identifying the vehicle, select Document, then repair instructions from the main menu of TIS.

Select troubleshooting. Individual troubleshooting charts are then selectable by system.

The troubleshooting charts provide an overview of:
- Malfunction Conditions
- Probable Cause
- Suggested Remedy

The remedies are "suggestions", The remedies are linked to Repair Manual R/R and or adjustment procedures specific to the suggested remedy.


NOTE: Prior to any electrical component replacement, the DIS/MoDiC test plan must be followed. If end result of test plan does not lead to conclusive repair; utilize the diagnostic requests (Status) and or component activation function of the DIS.


Additionally specific component/circuit testing, with the DIS/MoDiC measurement system must be carried out using the experienced gained during this course.
