When the selector lever is placed in the "M/S" gate, the AGS selects the sport program similar to placing a non Steptronic shifter into the "4th gear" position.

The transmission shifts automatically, but all shifts occur at a higher RPM (sport program).

The instrument cluster indicates the current mode of operation. While in the automatic mode, it displays the position of the selector lever (P, R, N or D).

When in the M/S gate, the instrument cluster displays "SD"

Tapping the selector lever towards the ""+" or "-" positions initiates an up or downshift and also activates the manual Steptronic function. The transmission will shift up or down depending on the request.

Once the manual gear is selected, the display will change to the "M" with the actual gear currently engaged "3".

Requests for not plausible shifts are only displayed momentarily, display then returns to current gear.

The gear range in the "SD" and "M" modes are from 1st to 5th gears.
