The transmission identification plate also offers valuable parts ordering information. Similar to the control system, the transmission itself is always subject to changes due to refinements in its valve body, clutches, electrical components, etc.

Prior to parts ordering always verify what part is being replaced by checking the data plate and compare it with the EPC for possible supersession.

In this example, the original equipment had been upgraded and reidentified by a new 2 character code.
