Power Consumers Temporarily Inoperative
MODEL:
E38 (7 Series), E39 (5 Series) Vehicles produced before 9/97
SITUATION:
Various power consumers, including power windows, sunroof, and rear screen heating may be inoperative.
The condition only occurs during engine cranking, and does not occur while driving.
All systems function normally after cycling the ignition key.
Cause:
Power consumers are deactivated via the K-bus during the starting procedure. Occasionally, individual power consumers may not be reactivated after the starting process has been completed.
Correction:
In case of customer complaint, install a General Module SW2.0 or higher, located behind the glove box.
